Coda Automotives is working on plans to introduce 4-door 4-passenger sedan electric cars first in the USA. In the year 2009 June they introduced the prototype Coda sedan to media people where it was seen with unfinished interior. Although people liked it for its battery power, which is giving it a longer distance run.

Now Coda Sedan is ready to hit the streets of California this year at a suggested price of US$ 35,000. No need fuel, no worry of emission while you get good mileage from your battery powered car. The Coda Sedan is expected to give you between 90 miles and 130 miles depending on your driving style. The main system in the car is its 34 kilowatt-hour battery pack.

For recharging the car batteries a power outlet of a240-volt, 30-amp will be fitted in the car buyers homes where a two hours charging through the support of the home energy management software of Microsoft Hohm will give 40 miles to 50 miles of range of coverage.

Coda Sedan expect to sell 14,000 of its 4 door 4 passenger all electric cars this year in California and is expecting to expand it to Northwestern states by 2012.
