Toyota decides to put off Lexus HS 250h hybrid.
Toyota Motor Corp has decided to stop the production of its Lexus HS 250h hybrid vehicles. This model was introduced in the year 2009 and the models never catch with the Toyota target in the recent years as their Prius.
At the beginning the Lexus HS 250h was seen as a five-passenger luxury hybrid sedan, combining typical Lexus style and performance with best fuel economy and low emissions. But it seems it failed to attract the mass.
Mean while there are still Toyota's hybrid vehicles as 1. CT 200h hatchback, 1. RX 450h crossover, 1. GS 450h sports sedan, 1. and the LS 600h L luxury sedan.

People think that the Lexus HS 250h hybrid price is little bit high when comparing it to the Toyota Prius. There is a price difference of US$ 13,000. This ay the cause of the sales slump of the Toyota Lexus HS 250h hybrid.
Toyota is the leader in the sales of the Hybrid cars all over the world.
As per the Toyota's report They expected to sale nearly 30,000 HS hybrids annually, which didn't happen.
The Lexus has sold 6,699 HS cars in the year 2009, 10,663 in the year 2010, and 2,864 HS cars in the year 2011.
It seems people still love the gas powered engines rather than buying the Hybrid models.
