Some Toyota Prius and Lexus hybrid cars to be recalled due to a defect.
An announcement had been made by the Toyota Motor Corp to recall some of its Prius and Lexus hybrid cars that were manufactured between March and October 2009. The cause of the recall is to check the brake system in which nitrogen gas can leak into the brake fluid, and it can make difficulty in pressing the brake pedal.
Already nearly 90 complaints had been received by the company although it has not yet received any reports of accidents or injuries related to the problem.
If you are one of these model owners, contact your dealer or agent to go for a check up for the brake system.
So they will inspect the booster pump assembly on Prius and Lexus HS 250h vehicles and will check them for smooth operation and if they find any defect then they will be replaced with new ones.
A total of 238,000 vehicles will be recalled from Japan, North America, Europe and from the other markets.
Last April many Japanese auto makers recalled 3.4 million vehicles globally for fixing defective airbag system in their vehicles.
